Our property

Sa Domu de Aury welcomes guests in a cozy and authentic setting, designed for those who wish to enjoy a relaxing stay with a beautiful private terrace as a daily backdrop. The studio, intimate and meticulously designed, is organized in a functional and harmonious way: a bright living area with a rustic Sardinian kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and a lofted sleeping area that adds charm and practicality. The terrace is the true highlight of the house: an open-air lounge, perfect for sunrise breakfasts, starlit dinners, or moments of pure relaxation in the private gazebo. The property is ideal for a couple or a solo traveler seeking comfort, privacy, and a picturesque environment. Practical considerations are also addressed: the tourist tax must be paid in cash upon check-in from June to October only, and regarding parking, there are paid spots available on weekdays and free ones on Sundays nearby. Area city center

The area where Sa Domu de Aury is located offers a perfect balance of sea, nature, history, and tradition. Situated in Quartu Sant’Elena, on the outskirts of Cagliari, it provides an opportunity to fully experience the charm of Southern Sardinia, with the convenience of urban amenities and close proximity to places of significant scenic and cultural interest. Just under five kilometers away lies the famous Poetto beach, a sandy coastline stretching over 8 kilometers that borders the Gulf of Angels, featuring crystal-clear waters and shallow seabeds. It can be easily reached on foot in about 15 minutes or by public transport, making it ideal for those seeking beach days, water sports, or leisurely strolls along the waterfront. Behind Poetto, the Molentargius Lagoon is home to one of the most important colonies of pink flamingos in Europe, a true paradise for birdwatching enthusiasts and nature lovers. Continuing towards the eastern coast, you'll encounter some of the most captivating beaches in the area: Cala Regina, with its steep cliffs overlooking the sea, the clear waters of Mari Pintau, the tranquility of Kal’e Moru, and the authentic atmosphere of Baccu Mandara, leading to the vibrant town of Villasimius for those wanting to explore the southeastern coastline more thoroughly. The region also offers numerous cultural insights: the Sa Dom’e Farra House Museum showcases Sardinian farming traditions through reconstructed environments and original artifacts, while in Cagliari, the National Archaeological Museum houses valuable relics from Nuragic, Punic, and Roman civilizations. Among the places of worship, the Basilica of Sant’Elena is home to exquisite works of art, and the Church of Santa Maria di Cepola exemplifies millennia of historical and architectural layering. Along the coast stands the Foxi Tower, a silent witness to a defensive past, also linked to the famous French landing of 1793. For shopping enthusiasts, Quartu's center features boutiques, jewelry stores, and shops along via Marconi, via Eligio Porcu, and viale Colombo, while nearby the establishment are restaurants, pizzerias, bars, a pharmacy, a local market, and supermarkets. The summer season comes alive with folkloric events like Sciampitta, an international festival celebrating popular traditions through dances, music, and costumes from around the world. This dynamic, authentic, and well-connected area is perfect for those who wish to experience Sardinia through its sea, culture, and local traditions.
